If you are using an AAA (traffic management) virtual server an your Citrix NetScaler and in addition a Citrix NetScaler Gateway at last while using a Citrix StoreFront as the backend you might think about using the builtin Green Bubble theme to match the Citrix NetScaler Gateways and StoreFront design which is default Green Bubble as well.

After applying the Green Bubble theme within the NetScaler Gateways global settings you will evidently notice that your NetScaler AAA virtual server looks somewhat different too. Its not that it will fetch the Green Bubble design as well which it does not but the login mask will be wrecked (i.e. username and password fields being switched) and probably give you a headache.

This is because the Green Bubble theme replaces the login.js file but the responsible developer seems not to have thought out of his box thus breaking the AAA virtual server.

There is an easy solution to just repair the AAA virtual server which still will use the default caxton theme. You will have to copy the original login.js before applying the Green Bubble theme and giving it a new name, i.e. TMlogin.js.

Now you would wanna edit the tmlogin.htmls reference to the login.js file:

<script language=“JavaScript“ type=“text/javascript“ src=“TMlogin.js“></script>

You will find both files within the following directory:

/var/netscaler/gui/vpn/

If you want to know how to create a custom theme so your customization will resist a reboot just head over to my other article How to apply a Citrix NetScaler Gateway custom theme.
